First, I'm not trying to be mean, but I really want to know.......

Anyway, I finally found and listened to the KNTU podcast of the Portland State game coupled with my download video from NTTV.  The pregame show had lots of hype on Jeffery Wilson, his abilities, contribution to the team and that he would be a major factor in the game.

Given all this attention........ CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHY HE SPENT SO MUCH TIME ON THE BENCH THAT GAME????????

If he had played, I'm sure the game would have been a hell of a lot better on both sides.

The team knew the coach was gone after the game. Hell, the whole tailgating area knew because our AD and his special donors couldn't keep their trap shut until after the game.

Wilson playing pr not playing wouldn't have made a difference. You guys would have still put 8 in the box and stuffed Wilson, just like you (and everyone else) did. He isn't superman.

We had noFBS QB on the roster (and still might not have).

66-7. Rick Villarreal's real legacy.

Portland St played North Texas when UNT was in the middle of a perfect storm. Maybe the most dysfunctional administration in the country paired with the most lackadaisical recruiting efforts and internal environment. It was a sinking ship that was completely out of control. In the midst of all of that Jeff Wilson rushed for over 800 yards on a team that had a high school QB steering the ship and that within and of itself was amazing. Jeff Wilson is a 3 year 1K+ back on any competent team in the country.

Early deficit, fumble.

He did account for 25% of the offense (49 yards), and 168 all-purpose yards (119 return yards) which lead that game.
