you and me both... sitting in my parents living room with them (both went to MSU for undergrad and grad degrees) and watching this unfold was heartbreaking.  I was proud of MTSU though. Just like I am proud of SFA right now.

Each game you play gets your conference ~$250k/yr for six years.  MTSU just got the conference $1.5M at least.

Only 33.5 million is distributed to conferences based on tournament shares?

No the shares start to go up significantly starring at the Sweet 16 round ($6M) , a final four share is worth near $10M over those six years.  

For the amount of money they make off the TV contract, they share a small amount.  The current TV deal is close to $800M/YR and they are sharing out less than $250M/YR.
