Anyone else wonder why Kee so often bunts her best player.   Couldn't believe she had Schkade, her best hitter bunting in seventh.   Schkade also bunted in another inning, almost assuring that her consecutive  game hitting record would come to an end.

I am certainly not a softball expert, but it just seems letting your best hitter swing is better strategy than just trying move a base runner to second.  Of course in softball there is a good probability of a bunt being a single, but it still doesn't seem better odds than letting the best home run hitter in the league swing.

I agree her bunting in that position was weird.

A team just has to have one dominating pitcher to win big in softball.

That's right....and we don't have it.

This team is mostly freshmen.  We only have 3 pitchers, 2 are juniors and one a freshman.  All three are struggling.

And I agree about questioning having Sklade to bunt instead of swinging away.  Not only does she have her bunt but against Sam I believe she was leading off.

All I can think of she's extremely fast and can bunt on a high percentage of the time, or possibly the catcher and third baseman and pitcher are known to be slow and Kee likes exposing that?

This team is in a funk.

So softball gets a big win against a name program and drops into a funk during conference play.

Yep, still right to be convened...

If your a North Texas fan and the current situation of the softball team is what is keeping you up all night your name is either Stacey Kee or your priorities need to be checked.  One of the two.

I said it was keeping me up at night?

Earlier this season you asked if anyone was still concerned about Kee after the mass exodus last year. I said yes then and I think it's still fair to be concerned now.

I'm merely pointing out its possible they are on the same course this season too.

Can't get too high during the highs (beating Baylor 2X in one weekend), and you can't get too low during the lows (swept by UTSA).

The fact is, there was a mass exodus of girls from the team all citing an abrasive atmosphere, especially because of a specific asst. coach.   Yes, that is still concerning.

Anything is possible but I'll wait and see how it goes.  Conference just started.  I'm dissapointed in the pitching.  I thought it was coming around.  Two weeks later and it appears it's not.
