I don't think either Pete or Stephens were fired the very next day after they were eliminated from post season play.

Sir, we only fire coaches right away after historically bad losses!  Benford's consistently below average regular seasons followed by inevitable first round tournament exits have earned him some mulling over by the infallible leadership of . . .

Just checked on Stephens.  Last game was March 5, 2011.  Thread announcing her termination was March 11, 2011.  So you're right.  There is still time.
