CU Athletics video

Saw this on FootballScoop TL.

Colorado made a damn fine video about their damn fine facilities. Worth a watch.

Just fyi, because I know this will devolve quickly: This isn't meant as a knock on our program, but rather a tip o' the hat to CU. We should always be aware of what other folks are doing to gauge where we are as a program.

Impressive facilities. And just think...Colorado is a perennial P5/Pac12 bottom feeder. Even with those facilities.

I agree with the statement but it only covers Colorado since the Big 12 was formed.  They have 26 conference titles, 28 bowl appearances and a national championship.  So that resume does say "perennial" bottom feeder.

Meh, we live in a 'what have you done for me lately' world.

I'm not "old", but even I have a hard time remembering when they were nationally relevant for anything good...

eta: UTEP won a MBB title (as Texas Western), good luck getting most sports fans to think they are nationally relevant in hoops...

I hear they're going to make a gritty reboot of Glory Road: Glory Road Warrior.

I've always thought of a handful of schools that 1) Do not get the national spotlight, but 2) are still considered relevant hoops programs.

WKU and UTEP are two of them.

Thoughts, @CMJ?

EDIT for AOD:
I don't disagree with this sentiment towards CO football.  WKU and UTEP basketball are still recent contenders for conference titles and March Madness.  CU football has lived in B12 shadows for as long as I can remember.  I can only think of a few things of recent note: Dan Hawkins was not living up to coaching expectations, and they had a dynamo utility player years ago that I think was an Olympic skier.

Hmm, do we think of them more since they are conference mates? Would a Big 10 fan think of them for basketball? I would guess Western might be remembered as their tournament sweet 16 success is fairly recent.

Wow.  That's a great video and Colorado has some very nice facilities.  Did I see a MRI machine ?  I went to the Jamario Thomas vs Colorado game (met Mandy McKinley's dad in a concession stand line).  It seems to me that Colorado or a similar level school would give us a home-and-home.  They don't get to the DFW area otherwise, do they ?

GO MEAN GREEN

One thing I couldn't help but take from that vid:  "Damn, I want us to have an indoor facility."

Yeah. Before I didn't care.

"We play in the heat, we practice in the heat" attitude. After seeing that, t'would be a nice attraction, and would be a nice place to hold pro days.

...always kinda dug Colorado in the Big 8 & Big XII

too bad Texas ran Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri & A&M out of a once great conference. Their football program declined after they stopped recruiting heavy in the Lone Star State.

Hats off to their Marketing & Branding team. Like most P5's they have a good handle on what looks good.

I wish that NT could take our Green, Black & White & do what CU does in Gold, Black & White...

cool video...thanks for sharing!

I want to smack the glasses off of your avatar. No ill intent, just saying.

Haha none taken. Don't let the glasses fool you though, I could see what I was typing. It's not impossible, or even difficult, to shoot some beautiful film of North Texas. The backdrop is there, we just need to little more want-to.

Oh no, I believe you. My comment had nothing to do with your post. Your avatar just looks back hand worthy.
