In need of baseball bats

This is quite a long-shot, but it has worked for me before, so I'll go for it again.  (God bless the Mean Green Mafia!)

As some of you know, I work for a non-profit in Fort Worth.  Our facility is a weapons free facility (30.06 and 30.07), but we do have a school on campus so we are constantly seeking to improve security.  A tried-and-true method we are rolling with right now is providing every teacher with an ol' Louisville slugger.  However, paying for two dozen bats that we'll probably never use isn't something we want to do if we can avoid it.  Also, organizations that give away sports equipment are usually looking for them to be used by low-income children, not rage-induced educators.

So my question is - does anyone have access to (or know someone who does) a small arsenal of baseball bats that they would be willing to donate?  They don't have to be anything fancy.  Anything from a big barrel to those souvenir bats from Rangers games.  The tape can be worn off and the bat can be covered in dents.  We just need something to give our teachers a fighting chance, God forbid an active shooter makes it in.

First, I'd suggest you guys nut up and stop denying people a choice to carry more effective means of self defense.

Second, I just so happen to have a supply of extra bats. Comes from years of youth baseball...

I've probably got a couple little ones lying around from the kid's tee ball days.  Too small for an adult to hit one over the fences, but certainly big enough to make an intruder think twice.

Speaking of baseball hats, has anyone else noticed the awful selection of fitted UNT baseball hats? Our apparel has come a long way the past few years, but it's still VERY hard to find a good fitted UNT hat.

Between this being an election year and the ongoing green religion wars of pope pious Rick V (Roman numeral or letter-much like the man, they both kind of work) it's going to breed hostility.

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if the predators showed up, but will Danny Glover come to save us?
