Nothing yet. Hasn't signed with us or anyone else. If he doesn't sign here that nullifies any nice surprises we had today. He was our highest recruit.

Bain is a complete unknown. Hasn't signed anywhere else though.

Trying to recall all of our commits...  Is Johnson the only one we're missing?  Anyone else COMMITTED, but NOT YET SIGNED?

He's the only one yet to sign out of our commits. We had fingers crossed on Bain and some other surprises. If we lose Johnson and don't have any surprises we would slip in the C-USA rankings and have a very thin class.. Not signing by afternoon is usually not a good sign.

Yeah, he was committed to UAB and then flipped to UNT Jan 30.

He had flipped from Nebraska to UAB in November.   So, he has been a little unreliable in that area.

Ah. okay good to know. welp, fingers crossed then I suppose.

Apparently, according to the Nebraska fan board, grades were an issue for him in HS, and appear to be in JUCO as well... hence the original flip to partial-qualifier-accepting UAB.   Wonder if he's waiting on a contingency offer from someone to fall through, otherwise he'll sign here.   Even if he does, it sounds like we'll need to hope he doesn't turn into a grade casualty, a-la Xavier Grindle.

How does UAB get 21 three star recruits? Maybe we should have just shut our football team last year too.

They have signed a lot of non-qualifiers because they do not play in 2016 giving them a year to get their academics in order before they play.  They were also granted extra ships and visits to re-intitiate their program.

So what grade would you give Seth and team on their recruiting at the end of national signing day?   I am give it a B taken into account the timing of him getting the job.  Very little recruiting took place between the 3 game of the season and Seth getting hired.

They are JC recruits.  Having played and excelled for two years, most that are worth their salt are three-star recruits.  Having shut down their program they were allowed double the normal number of recruits so that means that they still signed a lot of two-star athletes as well.
