fyi: he doesn't seem to be the biggest fan of Benford due to the lack of winning and offensive production, but I'm sue he likes being judged on his opinion by people. I just ended up having to taking a photo of the two posts though. 

You really need to stop this. For a long time you've said things along the lines of

"You never played and my friends played and they think people on here don't know what they're talking about."

"I wouldn't trust you with a clipboard."

"Go to the GMG game and prove it."

"You really think you know more about basketball than Benford."

etc.

To all the people critical of Benford. Guess what? They've all been right. They never had to play D1 ball themselves or be a D1 coach to really judge his tenure at any point and predict where things have headed. Read WKU's board and see what they think about Harper. Guys who also never played or coached D1 ball. And no one is saying they themselves would do a better job. But for what Benford gets paid, he is underperfoming immensely and this program is not where it should be.

I have been critical of Benford as well, but I guess it gets ignored. I merely quoted Watson from when he was on the brodcast about a month ago with Dave. He said we need to shoot more. So why would I get bashed for quoting someone else? Please explain why it would be said "Andrew is right" when I was not the one who said it? We are awful this year and everybody knows it. Just because we lose doesn't mean I am not going to games or still support the team. Perhaps that's the difference? Maybe if I bashed him and decided to not go to games it would be different? I am going to go to games and still cheer for the team even if we lose the rest of our games this season. It doesn't mean I think Benford is a good coach. It means I enjoy basketball and support the team. 

And yes it does get annoying when people try to coach from the couch. It's mostly complaining with no solution other than fire them. Mcarny made a lot of mistakes but people always bashed him for not getting guys here. Do y'all know all the people he talked to? He talked to multiple quarterbacks around this area who opted to go to Oklahoma State, Texas Tech (then la texh), and Baylor over the past two seasons. UNT just wasn't a good selling point. Seth is young so maybe he can turn that around, but even so UNT is a hard selling point. People here just ignored that fact and acted like it should have been easy. Just one of many examples where people here don't know all the facts but complain. If I'm going to complain it's going to be because the issue is very clear. Because I am not behind closed door meetings and I don't always know what goes on.

No but why attack what he said? That's all I'm asking. I don't really know him well at all but I do know what he said on the broadcast and I do know you essentially just called his statement idiotic.

That's the point. Everybody here talks like they know everything that goes on behind the scenes, but they have no clue. People just assumed Mcarny didn't try to recruit players and that if they didn't come it was his fault and not that fact that we are just not a school know for athletics. That's exactly the point. They just assume.

I read nothing different. Emmitt attempted to make a mockery of my post. A post with a statement that was not my words. He then used that statement to mock me. That makes zero logical sense. Next time you quote a recruiting cite or some player I should take that quote and attack it as if you were the one who said it or held that opinion? Maybe when people posted tweets from Carlos Harris they should have been attacked instead of attacking Harris? Because that makes perfect sense. There is no difference. Every time someone quotes someone we should just act as if they said it and throw them under bus. That's the precedent that's being set? 

All I want to do is talk sports. Instead it becomes an open attack on everything from players to coaches to posters to alumni to the athletic department etc.... Let's talk sports!

Well, apparently I'm a basketball expert because I've played in all the GMG.com games and even won an MVP or 2 (that's right, bitches, shameless brag).

And I knew Benford should have been fired after year one. Like Tasty said, RV shouldn't be fired for hiring Benford, he should be fired for not fixing an obvious, glaring, neon sign of a problem. For 3 years. 

So, Andrew, since I meet your qualifications for a basketball genius, how will you disqualify my opinion?

I have no problem with the opinion Benford should be fired. If we lose to rice next Saterday he should not be on the bus back home. It's the constant complaining. I rather talk about the success Comns is having or how Pittman could improve. Something besides Benford should be fired with a ton of memes or gifs to follow. I did not think he would be back this season, but he is. Instead let's focus on the players we have and what the future might look like. 

How about we talk about future coaching options and what the next staff might look like. Anything is better than complaining about one person in 50 threads.

He should be talked about in every thread, because this complete catastrophe is his responsibility.

Honestly I have wondered why guys like Watson, White, Franklin etc haven't been reached out to. It would be great to have them play and support the school again :)

In my entire history of being on gmg.com, I have ignored three posters: GL2Greatness/CheckFacts, MeanGreener/RyanMunthe, and Skiver/Andrew. Notice that each of them have had multiple usernames because the original ones got banned or ignored by so many?

Remember that when you are arguing anything with Andrew. CheckFacts/GL2Greatness hated UNT for whatever reason. MeanGreener/RyanMunthe have anger issues, But this combo poster known as Skiver/Andrew is a different animal altogether, one who thinks his playing days at the PEB and in HS make him legit to talk down to posters and beg them to come play him in a scrimmage that is supposed to be a fun fundraiser. He has taken the stance that supporting Tony Benford as a decent head coach at UNT, when Super Pit attendance has dropped by over half in the last 4 years, as have the wins, is a way to show how much smarter he is than other posters. That's a very "special" mindset, indeed...
