Hadn't seen it posted but I came across the fact that we had two players representing North Texas this year...

• CB Jamal Marshall, North Texas - AllStar Roster
• TE Marcus Smith, North Texas - Selects Roster

I believe both Cyril Lemon and Antonio Johnson were involved in this event last year.  Hopefully, Marshall & Smith can parlay their involvement into similar opportunity at the next level.

Not to take away from these guys' accomplishment in being selected for the Gridiron showcase, but hopefully Littrell & Co can begin to build a roster that sees our players garnering even more attention by playing in higher profile games.  The last televised all star game I can remember where seeing a NT helmet on the field was when Awasom played in the 2005 Hula Bowl.

Wow...completely forgot about Marshall's current situation.  

I think the CGS event was last week so I assume he was involved but his opportunity to continue a playing career...
