Michigan State & Nike making a Mean Green uniform

I've always loved our "MEAN GREEN" monicker.

We should own & brand this like TAMU's 12th MAN.

This should be a lawsuit without a second thought. If it were a G5 team doing this with a P5 official nickname (i.e. 12th Man or Roll Tide) there would be a lawsuit.

Actually, I believe that we began using the moniker in the 60s, before Charlotte in the 70s.  However, we had not copyrighted 'Mean Green' so Charlotte was not infringing.  We do have it copyrighted for sports teams now so Michigan State should either pay us if they continue to use it without our permission or find another moniker for their uniform.

Seahawks had to get permission.  They got in trouble when they first did it without consent. Now. The Seahawks pay for it, I believe.

Think they now call themselves "the twelves" to skirt this. Dont think they pay atm. Also, I would expect a cease and desist before a suit.
