My point is that he has as much chance at playing in 2016 as you or I do. We didn't win these cases even when there was a specific waiver process in place. We are not going to win anything now.

Seriously, I care more about a player's ability than his looks.  When in uniform a neatly trimmed beard isn't very noticeable anyway.  I must confess though, I really don't like long hair that hangs below the helmet.  If you can push it back up inside the helmet...fine.  It might even provide a little cushion between the head and the helmet.

Long hair can still be grabbed for tackling purposes, right?  Or did they change that?  Anything that makes you easier to tackle is a bad idea.
