Portland State Mourns the Loss of a Team Member

Sunday Portland State linebacker A.J Schlatter #31 passed away at home due to complications from minor throat surgery.

I'm very sorry to hear the news.  20 is so young.  Good for him that he was able to enjoy being a key contributor during a great season before he left this life.

I am truly saddened by the passing of this yound football player. This just goes to show  you should  live life to the fullest and never take anything for granted . My prayers go out to his family. I can not imagine losing one of my children at such a young age.

Hey, I feel for y'all, and will say a little prayer.  It's a smaller world than we sometimes think.  When I told my next door neighbor, a Tongan, about us getting that whooping from Portland State, he mentioned having a cousin (last NAME Tonga, as I recall) who plays there.  We're all brothers and sisters in this crazy world.

That would be Nate Tago, who scored a couple of rushing TD's in that game.,
