OSU is trying to flip a Qb out of La. That is committed to La Tech. This would make me think they want to keep him as a PWO.

He has decommitted from LaTech and now has offers from TCU and Mizzou. His highschool TE is a TCU commit.

Six weeks ago, Berryhill High School senior quarterback Nyc Burns announced that he had decided to attend Oklahoma State and join the Cowboy football program as a preferred walk-on.

However, two FBS schools have become increasingly interested in the 6-foot-4, 175-pound Burns. Ultimately, does he remain committed to a walk-on situation at OSU or would he accept a scholarship elsewhere?

Today, North Texas offensive coordinator Graham Harrell was in Tulsa to meet with Burns. At Texas Tech, Harrell passed for 134 touchdowns and nearly 16,000 yards. He is a member of the North Texas staff assembled by new Mean Green coach Seth Littrell, a Muskogee native who played at OU.

Then OSU needs to nut up and offer the scholarship. It's that simple. If they don't then Burns has a decision to make.

1. Full scholarship to UNT where the QB competition would seem to be wide open. He would be coached by one of the most prolific college QBs of all time.

2. Walk-on at OSU with only a guarantee that he makes the 105 in August. His parents foot the bill. He would play for a former D II QB.

Not exactly. The OC would be D2 but his head coach played qb in front of 2 nfl hall of fame running backs.

So first we go after OSUs prime QB target Starkel whom we're still in the race for, and now we put their backup plan as our backup plan? Doubt they like UNT very much right now.

UNT is not in the race for Starkel. It's has always been UCLA or TAMU and it's pretty clear its TAMU. That's why Harrell is out recruiting Burns.

I think burns is a very talented quarterback. I hope UNT has a chance  at him

Osu signed john kokar last year, the #3 pocket passer in the country. Not doubting Nyc's ability to climb the depth chart, but would love to see this cat come flourish in CUSA
