Womp, womp. Barring the unexpected this might have been the last chance for G5 teams to move up for a while. Shows that the big boys will go to convention and vote on a rule change to avoid expansion.

I understand both of his arguments given time and context. The rules to this game have changed a lot since the playoff was enacted.

There is less reliance on math or some semblance of math in the shitty non-disclosed BCS formula, but it sure as hell created better bowl match-ups and a better version of the big 4 or 5 bowl games. For all of its warts, give me the BCS and that bowl system any day. This playoff committee BS is a fiasco.
