KFC is about THE worst fried chicken joint out there. Appropriate that they are so closely tied to Craphole.

And for all the Craphole fans that will enevitably show up in this thread, I told you this would be your fate when you were busy claiming to be the next S. Florida.

Welcome to hell.

KFC has good mashed potatoes and gravy though.

On that we agree. The chicken is gawdawful grizzle-filled crap. I actually had one of their chicken pot pies, cause I like chicken pot pies. When they brought it out, I realized it was a knock off of the REALLY cheap Swanson pot pies that were around when I was a kid, and tasted just the same.

Never been back.

Does KFC still have  those little bucket desserts? Those were good.

Not difficult to recruit to Oklahoma State, Auburn, and TCU. nUTSAck not so much.

That can be said for any coach that comes from a P5 school. For example: not difficult to have an explosive offense with the athletes at UNC. UNT not so much.

There's only one name there that's even remotely worth looking at... and we were talking about him coming on board as a position coach or OC if we had gone with Meacham.

Y'all wouldn't have been able to afford him as an OC and definitely not as a positions coach so the fact that y'all wanted him for either position is irrelevant. He was making $400k at Auburn and probably making around the same at TCU.

Fact remains that nUTSAck has a list of coaching candidates that makes Dan McCarney look like Bear Bryant. The funny thing is that you'll hire Hal Mumme and get a few years of 4-8 football followed by probation. Enjoy your interviews with a stunning group of has beens and never was.

Oh hey, fancy that; we're paying our coordinators in that range. That's what you're talking about paying your next HC, no?

No, 800k

Then you are overpaying for the candidates mentioned. Luper wasn't making 400k at TCU. Hell Meacham wasn't making close to that. Luper had very close ties with Meacham and they probably would have came as a pair.

He made 400k because he is a coordinator and the 800k is HC $? It also seems that to go from a fbs playoff team to essentially a G5 startup would require per$uasion. Yes a gamble, but if he is the recruiting assets reported and utsa and tcu run same schemes (tcu poaches utsa recruites constantly) it would be a good investment. Lets say Luper and Littrell are the guys we hope they are- chances are they will be gone 4 years and the G5 carousel will turn again.

This is my point, as well. If either of these guys accomplish a big turnaround in the next 3 years, they are going to get hired away. If they don't, they each probably have no more than 4 years at their job and will get fired.

There are exceptions, of course, but G5s are usually training grounds for the P5s to buy them when they like what they see.

Why would Bailiff want to make this move?

From what I've seen, Bailiff is sort of like Rice's Johnny Jones. So job security would seem to be the only thing that makes sense.

53-60 at Rice is not too bad considering where they have been. He's gone backwards since 2013 though. Rice gave permission to interview so they must not think very highly of him. Most schools would tell other teams wanting to interview your head coach for a lateral(read downward) move to STFU and GTFO.
