To be honest I think he has us in his top four as a favor to Littrell and co.  Truth is it helps us greatly just to get high level recruits to mention they are considering us. As you tear down perceptions that no one would play for UNT that has other options you can build from there.  I would be shocked if he chose us but he is helping our cause either way.

Why would he do Littrell a favor? What debt does he have to UNT or Seth Littrell? As minimal as his interest may or may not be it is hard for me to buy into the favor scenario here. Maybe he actually has slight interest in UNT.

Hey this is GMG. A hunch and a glass of wine is all I need to start an argument.

With the colleges interested, I wouldn't fault him for NOT choosing us...what I'd fault him for is choosing aTm over Yale.  Unless it had something to do with being super close to his sister and not liking being far away from family, I really don't see how that would ever be a good idea.  Ivy League players still get drafted if they're high caliber...but if they don't, or if they get injured or move on from football, they also have better career options.  Regardless of whether you pay tuition, if money is a factor, Yale will still come out as a better choice, dollar-for-dollar.

I would be surprised if he didn't choose TAM unfortunately. I have a buddy in the athletic department at TAM and he has a meh feeling about him as a player. He would be much more appreciated at unt!

He may have to deal with a new coaching staff if Sumlin doesn't do anything great next year.

We often see the Ivy's on someone's offer sheet.  I have determined that an offer from those schools does not equate to admission into the university and thus why you rarely see that player choose the school.  If my kid chose any of those schools over Yale I would disown them.  True.

What do you mean?  Would you pick TAMU over Yale?

If you want to be around football as your occupation in life, then without hesitation, yes.   If you want to be a businessman, not a chance.   It all depends on what he wants to do I suppose.

I'd still think, if you want to go pro, Yale would be awesome because there's never a guarantee and it's a better backup option, plus there are plenty of pros that come from Ivies.  If you want to play bowl games and be around rednecks, regardless of whether you'll continue on after college, then by all means, aTm is the way to go.

If he wants to play football professionally, Yale is not the best place for him.   If he wants to be a coach, Yale is not the best place for him.  If he wants to go into an Athletic Department or something, Yale is not the best place for him.   If he wants to go into anything else, you can't do much better than Yale.
