There is certainly a lot of downside in grabbing a 1 and done transfer like Kincade. He may never make it to campus, he may leave during the year he has to sit out, he may make through that but not be the QB everyone was expecting.

But here is why I think it's a good deal for UNT. We are so late in the recruiting process that Littrell isn't going to be able to go out and find some great *3 uncommitted QB. There is a chance that he might be able to flip someone but it's not likely. QB's are the most important and difficult position to recruit, therefore most are committed by the end of their JR year.

So say we don't get a QB this year. We start the 'Bama grad transfer Morris this season. That gives Littrell a full season to recruit our future QB. He is able to come in and redshirt while Kincade starts. Once Kincade leaves then we have a RS Freshman ready to take over.

Landing Kincade would be monumental for our program. It creates consistency and a little bit of longevity or breathing room for us and the coaching staff. This will be huge if it happens.

Agree, if we don't sign Kinkade does that mean we have a stud HS Qb in the wings?

Are we sure he's one and done?  While the family medical exemption that granted immediate eligibility is no longer in place, players can still get an extra year of eligibility tacked on at the end.  I thought he was transferring in part to take care of his mother.

Kincade is the type of player that would be an NFL prospect if he were somewhere that he could display his abilities. I hope he decides to do that here in Littrell's pass-happy system.

Isn't he 6 foot? Same problem Boykin is facing at TCU. Not many (if any 6 foot QB's making plays in the league) definitely some on rosters though

Did you watch North Carolina this year? I don't think Littrell system is going to be Leachs throw the ball 60 times a game type offense. I feel like he will usend he offense to utilize the talent he has for that year.

I bet Littrell signs at least one legitimate High School QB in his first class.

Given the late start, I think that may be tough. I expect that he will get one in the next class, but I don't expect it in this one. I would be ecstatic if he lands one, but the late start makes it a tall order.

Russell Wilson and Drew Brees might differ with that. Tyrod Taylor's around 6 ft. too. I guess Manziel doesn't quite qualify as making plays at this point.

He was quoted saying he would sign a HS Qb in every class! I expect a good one this year. Get Graham out on the recruiting trail!

2 out of 32 NFL teams have been successful with one not saying it is impossible but very difficult for sure.
