Oh man! Christmas in January for the Mean Green faithful!

His days are numbered where ever he goes  because Spring Semester starts on the 19th. 12 days Mr Kincade.

From reading Vito's Article, I never saw anything saying we have offered, nor have we not offered, Nor have we lost interest. I also never saw in there about who won the HOD MVP a couple years ago and who the stud QB was for that team??

NBC Sports:

North Texas could be landing spots for ‘Bama, Ole Miss transfer QBs

Very late last month, it was reported that thatAlec Morris had decided to leave Alabama and continue his collegiate playing career at UNT. Littrell’s moves on that front don’t appear to be done as Ole Miss transferDeVante Kincade confirmed to the Denton Record-Chronicle that, while he’s yet to make a decision, the Mean Green is at the top of his to-do list.

C'mon to Denton, DK!!!!!

I'm right there with you Got5. DeVante was phenomenal in high school and I would love to see what he could do at the college level with all restraints removed.

Seems like the Starkel decision will factor in the kincade decision.  It would be nice, but it doesn't look like UNT will have both.  If Starkel comes to UNT, it's to play early...and probably earlier than a RS soph.

Starkel isn't announcing until February 2nd. He has a UCLA visit set up for the weekend Jan 15th, and he said he will take one more OV after that. If he were to choose to OV here, that wouldn't be able to happen until the weekend of Jan 22nd.

Even if he committed that weekend (earliest possible time) the semester will have already started so we're going to have to make a decision on Kincade beforehand.

Since Kincade has to sit out a year anyways couldn't he wait until the fall to enroll where ever he decides to attend?

But if he gets a scholarship, why not go ahead and get a free semester of school? Knowledge is the ultimate power

Yes, but it's hard to really gauge his situation. Are we his only FBS offer right now? Can we ask that of him and still get him? Would waiting make him realize that he can go FCS and be eligible immediately, and would he choose that route as a result? Have we even definitively offered? A lot going on here, and the clock is ticking.

Get ya popcorn ready.  Can't wait to hear where he's going. Maybe he's waiting on Seth & Co to get his photoshopped pic with Mean Green announcement ready for him.  :)

He has chosen Grambling

It's strange as he had it made at ole miss and he left a p5 whare he would start to be close to his mom and he transferd to grambling. Dose his mom live there now? I thought he he passed us over it would be for SMU whare his  high school coach has a job there on the coaching staff .

Best of luck to DeVante in his career at Grambling. According to the Clarion-Ledger DeVante received interest from several FBS schools closer to home but there were no recorded offers. I wonder if the foot injury that he sustained while practicing for the FBS Championship and subsequent surgery scared away potential suitors.

Kincade added he received interest from Houston, North Texas, Prairie View A&M, TCU, Texas and Sam Houston State but chose Grambling for the opportunity to play and the coaching staff.

His career with the Tigers, however, hasn’t started well.

Kincade broke his left foot while warming up for the Sugar Bowl. He was in a walking boot and on crutches after the game and underwent surgery to insert a rod into the foot last week. He will be out for another six weeks and won’t participate in Grambling’s spring workouts.

I know no one will probably care but just wanted to throw this out there. This kid had a great year.

Showing that he threw for 2,386 22 TD's and 2 INT. Ran for 366 and 6 TD's. Has led his team to a 9-1 Record and won some award. The 2016 THGSBA Ben L. Cavil Sr. "Big Ben" HBCU Football Award

I hate speculation but what if we took this kid over Morris?
