You dont have your facts strait at all and should find them out before your spit out "Hate Crime". The girl was a white female and the suspected shooters were two black men in there 20's so dont give me that hog was. NO Hate crime, just some idiot with a gun that had no business with one and its as simple as that. Below is your supposed "Black Girl":

Sara Mutschlechner, a 20-year-old junior at the University of North Texas and philanthropy chair of her sisterhood, was shot dead during an apparent road rage argument in the early hours of New Year's Day

I think he knows that and is saying that it should be a hate crime because the suspects are black and the victim is white.

I disagree on using this as a hate crime. Murder is murder and there's no real benefit to treating it as a hate crime since they are already facing at least a 1st degree felony.

I apologize for my haste and  not thoroughly reading. I tend to do that on here.

I just hate how everything turns to "Hate Crime" when its just humans being animals and not thoroughly thinking through a situation and understanding their consequences once they make their bad decision. Then again, Police have half a second to make a call or they could end up dead

The media keeps calling this an act of Road Rage. Why? This situation appears to have started at a social setting and was not simply a situation where violence erupted after two drivers paths crossed. These men pursued their victims and then shot the designated driver that protected them.

Isnt it the medias job to blow things out of proportion or to bend the story? Im with you ADLER on your thoughts.

I think the world would be better off if we all went back to printed Newspapers and did away with online/television news

I would say no. It is the media's job to present the facts as they are known. The problem is that they are more interested in creating stories than reporting facts.

From KEYE-TV Austin

The Denton Police Department has made an arrest in the shooting death of 20 year old University of North Texas Student Sara Mutschlechner, who was shot while being the designated driver for a New Year's party in Denton.

Eric Jamal Johnson was arrested for murder by the U.S. Marshal Service on Tuesday morning in Yuma, Arizona.

There should be more than one arrest in this case. Both the driver of the SUV and the person that pulled the trigger are responsible for aiming the weapon.

Maybe. Though it's possible the driver didn't know Johnson was going to shoot and then informed on him to Denton PD.

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. It depends on the circumstances. How much did the other people in that car know about the shooter's gun and his intentions?

After the shooting, though, they would be legally liable if they tried to cover it up.

apparently he waved it around and threatened to shoot them before having done so. Fuck everyone in that car.
