Dad has cancer I believe, so I think he is a legitimate hardship waiver recipient

Sorry to hear that.  Certainly could have an impact on whether or not the waiver is granted.

Bryce English a former 3-Star DT out of Desoto. He is transferring to be closer to his dad that was diagnosed with cancer. He could be granted a hardship waiver and be eligible in 2016. Offers from Kansas State, Arizona State, Arkansas, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Texas, UCLA, Wisconsin, TCU. He is a bowling ball at 5-11 330lbs:

With our Qb situation we may have an advantage. SMU is ok at Qb and has a stud out of Ga committed!

That's what my thought was. The "split the double team, sack the QB, somersault and scoop the fumble was one of the greatest plays I have ever seen.

Surely he will go to SMU -- with the former coach being there.  This one seems sort of anticlimactic to me.

That's my best guess also. Closer to home for both of them. SMU is bad and will afford the same early playing time opportunities that UNT will.
