You would be correct. A qb is huge. Doesn't have to be the flashiest but has to be smart and be a gamer. #1 thing is take care of the ball.

 Have a .....good d line, it makes everyone else look a whole lot better. 

I've tried to convince people of this for years and it gets dismissed.  

When our defense was ranked in the top 10 was when we had a guy named Booger drawing doubleteams.  When Skladany's secondary started to shine was when Abbey started drawing attention.

Its why DT's and DE's are the toughest recruiting test and probably, next to QB Mac's largest failed area in recruiting.

I couldn't agree more. It makes the LB's job a lot easier when he isn't having to take on a 300lb OG or OT. Also, you don't have to drop safeties down to get more in the box when you have a front 7 that can handle the run game.
