BBall seasons have more games and can therefore schedule multiple games for the same team. It's nothing new to play at home vs. team A and away vs. team A.

Care to give some examples? (Your examples should be non-conference)

New Mexico State plays a home and away series with UTEP and New Mexico every season. North Texas played a home and away with Lipscomb just two seasons ago.

The big money schools don't do it because they like to play all non-conference games at home unless they get big TV money to play on the road.

I wish NT played TCU, SMU and UTA home and away every season. I think it would result in more local interest and better attendance not to mention saving money by cutting the travel budget.

I have always hoped that we could get an annual Metroplex Tournament together (with NT, UTA, SMU and TCU), and rotate each year between Daniel-Meyer Coliseum, Moody Coliseum and the Super Pit (UTA couldn't handle a tourney like that in their wildest dreams at Texas Hall). Apparently, there is not enough interest for something like this to take place.
