He is going to realize that he has to not only be head coach, but perform most of the functions of the AD if he wants it to get done. 

Its going to wear him down very quickly. Mac basically quit after 3 years. 

Nothing changes here until we hire a professional, successful AD. 

McCarney showed that he was at the age where he just didn't care.  Once he said the same stuff again and again for the ump-teenth time (past laurels @ IA, IASt, WI, FL-Championship, etc.., ad nauseum), people started not giving a flip.  McCarney didn't change his approach, he just kept doing it up until he was fired.  

Littrell has his whole career ahead of him.  He can't afford to not care.

While I agree with the track record, IF it happens this way, it's obviously detrimental, but I expect Littrell to give much more effort and come at it from different angles rather than repeating the same crap over & over before just giving up.
