I'm almost ashamed to admit that the same has occurred to me.  Yes, I'd like to see Benford shine like we'd hoped and finally get his breakthrough so we don't even have to think that way, but it seems completely unlikely that that is going to happen.  So if he's going to be gone, I'd rather it be sooner than later, so that we can stop this mess and at least give it another go with someone else who may or may not be a flop.
