It was nice to hear him talk about the boosters and the alumni and how we are hungry. Also we will probably have to wait for the freedom of information request on his contract since I'm not sure when the next salary disclosure is on it.

Also the guy makes me want to renew my MGC membership I may have to schedule a 1on1 with 90 to talk me off the ledge...

Do what you think is right, but I will tell you this is the same feeling you had when Mac was hired. Hell, it's the same feeling I had when Dodge was hired.

Its false hope. All humans crave it in desperate situations. I'll wait until Littrell proves he can overcome the HUGE challenges ahead, especially with the current AD still in place.

Wasnt there a 60s song that addressed this situation perfectly? Oh ya, this one:

"Meet the new boss, same as the old boss," except in our situation, the new boss IS the old boss.

For me, I didn't feel this way for Mac. I had concerns around the record and the personal stuff. I convinced myself that "He won in Ames" and that alleviated some of the concern but I didn't have this feeling I do with Littrell. With Littrell I see this as a stepping stone job. A job that he wants desperately to succeed in so that he can move on in 3-4 years to a better job. Let's just hope he can overcome the obstacles that have been in the way of UNT coaches even well before RV was on the scene.

Texas just paid $850k per year for Tulsa's co-OC that allegedly doesn't even call plays and was willing to pay $1.2 million to TCU's co-OC that doesn't call plays.. Littrell would've gotten his money regardless after the way UNC played this year. He would've gotten a job this year or next paying that $1M or more as an OC or HC.

This is unreal to me! $850 for OC that doesn't call plays oh and he needs another 500k for the guy that does ? Texas was desperate for their image!

Yep. Look here. Tulsa's HC calls the plays, so they essentially overpaid for two Tulsa position coaches.

That all sounds like good news for Texas, except for one minor detail: Montgomery, not Gilbert, calls plays at Tulsa. Cumbie, who is the Horned Frogs’ co-coordinator, doesn’t call plays at TCU either, meaning Strong has now interviewed two coaches who are essentially position coaches to coordinate Texas’ offense.

DMac never said it on a Tulsa radio station or even on an Oklahoma radio station.  Obviously you are incapable of making that distinction.

Lol.

Because that makes a BIG difference.

He may have said it on a radio show in Iowa .... :)

Yep. Go figure. And he was interviewed in Iowa... By ESPN, which kinda trumps a local radio station, don't you think?

Same things DMac said.

Really the same thing any new coach says. It's not like he is going to go in the air and say "they really have some upper management problems, but I'm hopeful they will get it worked out." Never happen.

This is coach speak of the highest order.

no will smith nope smh disgusted

You can talk about the dark clouds of UNT 90 but leave out Thunder, she means everything to him and I think his personal life should be out of the bounds of discussion.
