Screw you for pissing on optimism. For once, it seems like we're doing the right thing from a hiring standpoint. The collective community needed something to get excited about. Let people get excited.

"It seems" and from what would you conclude that? From the few hours he has been the HC? No one knows if he will be a good hire at this point. There is nothing wrong with being excited about our new HC, it's ridiculous to talk about being taken to the promised land without even a single practice yet. Is this even a debatable topic? If being rational is "pissing on optimism", then I don't know what to tell you.

You don't have to tell me anything. Going from the morose attitude on the board to a sense of optimism based on exciting changes is actually pretty awesome. At least it's no longer peasant vs ivory tower verbal sparring.
