Huge mistake for Sumlin to promise every elite recruit playing time. Sumlin is another 8-4 season away from getting canned. ATM is investing waaaaaay too much $ into this program to do what they have always done, settle.

From the couple of games I saw where both guys played, Murray needed alot more development. Allen was the better QB.

Agreed. I have 0 respect for Murray though. Early in the season when the ATM staff was still trying to really name a starter Allen threw a pick and a camera went to Murray and it showed him smiling and laughing and dappin with a teammate.

Sumlin is a gimmicky coach. He needs to have a QB in there running around with his hair on fire to have success. Or at least that's how it has been since he's been at ATM.

I think he will end up at OU. He has a close buddy there from HS that plays WR, they will have Baker Mayfield next year as a senior, while he sits out, and then he will have two years to start.

This news, if Kyle Allen is transferring from A&M to OU, may be what made Trevor Knight expendable at OU. Knight wants to play somewhere that he will start, but Stoops sees more upside in another player that he had recruited that will be at OU through the 2018 season.

Kyle Allen has to sit out next season, so that's not it. Knight will be gone by then time Allen is eligible to play. Heisman candidate Baker Mayfield is the reason Knight wouldn't be starting next year. Simple.

We are probably a year away from Littrell being able to land that nice transfer or grad transfer. He might get in the door to talk to a Trevor Knight, but won't be able to land him. Players like Littrell and respect him, but they gotta see what exactly his offense will look like.

Mayfield isn't a Heisman candidate. He may be a Heisman snub depending who you ask. But he's not a candidate.

You're getting caught up in semantics. If you really want to get technical, every D1 football player is a Heisman candidate. Only a few are legitimate candidates, but that's not what I said. And it's besides the point. It's his job and Knight didn't want to sit behind Mayfield for his last season of eligibility. Not because Kyle Allen may or may not be transferring in.
