I expect we will pass UTEP. No reason we can't be the highest in CUSA

That is a big(if not bigger) aspect to our success than hiring Littrell. We need to be able to be competitive with assistant salaries so that we can retain good coaches. The only reason I want to see coaches leaving is because we are so successful that other programs want to promote them to be on their staffs.

344   North Carolina    ACC    Seth Littrell    $251,000    --    $251,000       (Max Bonus $20,917)

If these numbers are correct, then Littrell is getting around a $1,000,000 pay raise.  Not too shabby.

Staff Pay Total

1. UTEP $1,191,241

2. MTSU $1,166,061

3. North Texas $1,158,150

4. Marshall $1,141,476

5. FIU $1,077,200

We need to change the first 1 in our salary pool amount to a 2 and we should be good. $2,158,150 sounds like we're serious. We need to approach UH who paid $2,113,000 this year.

Id like us to bum up to 1.5 this year at least. Once we win some games then bump it up past 2 mil

What needs to happen is that UNT alums need to be cultivated/motivated to provide for any budget shortfalls salary-wise.  That's how those kinds of contract hikes get paid, generally.

I think we can and should bump EVERYONE's salary to at least 125-150k. the OC and DC should be at 250k. think about it though... when mac took over, noah joseph and ryan walters were making 80k and 70k respectively. we are moving forward guys and we will continue to do so with this negotiation!

I think within the last 3-4 years we have had younger assistants in the 40k range, but I am not entirely confident in that figure. Could be mistaken.

Meanwhile the most successful coach in UNT history is earning $70k a year. (And didn't start making that until 2014.)

Under Mac OC & DC each made $190k assistant salaries ranged from $70k to as high as $155k.

So soon to be the highest paid with arguably the best facilities.

And we sit at 1-11.

Certainly can't be the AD's fault...

I don't think UNT is getting a solid Return On Investment out of an athletic department run by RV.  Do we all agree on that?

Someone dinged him with a -1 so I think that number is closer to 99% in agreement. Haha
