This would be a solid hire for OC

Yes,

additionally, Harrell is form Ennis so he wouldn't be too far from home. he's got some high school connections for recruiting too.  he won a 4A state championship at Ennis before he went to Tech if i''m not mistaken.

Plus with his annual QB camp he sees a lot of recruits that we could bring in/offer. It would be foolish not to try and get him in my opinion

This would be a solid hire. I think it will happen too. Guy has been holding clipboards for some great Quarterbacks and was a good college one himself. Hes been a pretty good recruiter from what I've heard in a state he's not all too familiar with.

The more former-Tech-affiliated guys we bring in here, the more West Texas recruiting opens up.
And all the HS players between Waxahachie and Corsicana grew up watching him dominate at Ennis.

He's only the outside receivers coach at Washington State so I'm assuming he would get a nice pay raise and job opportunity. Last I heard Littrell was talking to Harrell about being his OC

Where did you hear this?

Exactly.

I think we should make him the QB coach and Co - OC with another young position coach all under the guidance of Littrell... that would be ideal. I think the option to move back down here and be a qb coach instead of wrs and also get some initial OC experience would be great for Harrell. I also think it would be wise for Littrell to bring in another guy to help with the O and Harrell. If it works, both dudes get a chance at a bigger job or to take over as the sole OC in 3 years. If it really works, we are starting all over.

the guy has been a coach for 2 seasons and that's it?   Yeah his history is impressive but I have to think that an OC would have a bit more under his belt than 2 whole seasons....    I like the qb coach.  Maybe asst oc or co oc.   But I don't think I trust handing the reins over to someone who has seen so little coaching experience so far.

how many years was he something else before he became an oc?   And he is still one of the youngest head coaches in the country.   It just feels like jumping the gun to try and make a splashy hire.

8 years. I think Graham brings a lot of knowledge with him. From his experience of being a successful THSFB QB (Texas High School football hall of fame, to setting records at Tech, to backing up Aaron Rodgers. If hiring him helps us land a top notch qb, i'm def okay with a splashy hire. He has over six year under leach that cant hurt..Z
