Littrell on the ticket this morning

Questions were pretty weak from Musers. I want to hear his thoughts on addressing QB position. Has he watched our film? What are his impressions of the talent on the current roster? How close is he to announcing his staff. Hopefully he will address these at 12:30.

He doesn't seem like the guy who would answer those things right now.  He wants his players trust and he wants them to have his.  Just what I got from the press conference.

And I can't see any reason to leave that job to come here for a rebuild. Utah St has been to a bowl every year beginning in 2011 and will go again this year, though with a less than spectacular 6-6 team. But still.

The reason is the same that has a HoF basketball coach (New Mexico Sports HoF, but still) toiling under an awful, awful HC in the Super Pit when he was already the asst HC at TCU...  friendship.  Heupel was/is close enough to Littrell to be in his wedding.

Both of the Musers graduated from UNT. Junior Miller does a better job of hiding that than anybody in local sports media. George Dunham's a huge UNT backer, of course, but he only rarely talks UNT on his show. I guess he's decided that the P1s who listen to KTCK don't want to hear it.

Give him something positive UNT related to talk about and I am sure he would mention us more often.... it's solved by wins!

But one is on a retirement gig and another is trying to get back to the top.

Maybe he would have more faith in his buddy to get him back where he wants to go than in Matt Wells.
