Ahhh yes the joy of losing to freaking UTA and freaking weber state on back to back nights. Who should I send my thank you to? Oh, that's right...Thanks, RV. Another job well done.

Ben, out of curiosity do you think Jalie is a good hire? She provides every thing fans would want in a coach. Looks, personality, recruiter, loyal, coaches her butt off, gets results (with 4 less ship players than teams she is playing).

I have no idea. Ask me around March of 2017. RV still hired the person that has the women's basketball in the current shape that it is in. Same can be said for football and men's basketball. I hope that she can turn it around. Even then, it's women's basketball and as far as revenue goes it takes a very, very far backseat to men's basketball and football if those two were producing.

*Looks mean nothing to me. I don't care if Sloth Fratelli was coaching our teams as long as he was producing.

I didn't think Jalie was a good hire when she was named and I was not overly impressed with her recruiting.  Now, however I am very impressed with what she has done with basically what she inherited.  She has won two games that I didn't think they had much chance to win.

The game against Weber State was disappointing because it looked like a Petersen game were the team just couldn't score for very extended minutes.  The team had way too many turnovers and had severe foul problems, but still never quit.  Plus Weber State looked like a very good defensive team.

Overall, if this team can approach .500, I think Jalie will have done a great job based on the talent on this team.

Don't forget RV paid WFU to bring the loser Peterson here

I can not figure WBB out yet, they have 2 big wins to go with weird losses, no consistency from game to game

Early returns are promising, but we won't really know what we have with Jalie for a couple of years.

I disagree whole heartedly.  I think it is always clear as day to see what you have, at least from my perspective as a coach.  She knows the game, she can obviously recruit (convincing girls with big time D1 talent (big 12) to transfer to NT.  I know she has a long way to go but those things and the way she can get girls (same ones the last coach couldn't do jack with) to play and win.  I am sold on her. She has a VERY tough road ahead, keeping 9 girls healthy and game ready is going to be the biggest challenge she faces.  Practices still need to be intense but recovery is a must.  She must manage minutes as best she can, I really feel bad for her BUT if she can handle this season I don't see another one being as challenging.

so sit on the fence and gripe about the coach instead of (if nothing else) just keeping your negative opinion to yourself? This woman is going to be a superstar you can save this post too.  Btw the looks part was in part a joke.  I also don't give a dang if they look good either as long as they can coach.

I keep seeing posts about the teams consistency.  I think we will see that throughout the year.  Having 9 girls things will happen that cause this.  Read my above post for reasons why that may occur.

I will always give an alum the benefit of the doubt. This is the best player in NT women's bball history, coming back to help resurrect her alma mater

Chicken shit doesn't turn into Chicken salad overnight- shes playing with the deck stacked against her. Hell, can you imagine if one of Littrells first wins is against an SEC team?

No argument that she's shown a ton in the short times since she's been back. I think she will have lots of success here, but for me it's still too early to proclaim good or bad. I've made exceptions to this (Benford), but even then I waited until much later in the season.

Jalie's team is likely struggle as the season wears on and wears down her short bench. If she continues to recruit like she has and kick it up a notch too then we could be in for a great ride. (Hello tourney bid!)
