Good for Coach Dickey. It didn't end well here but hopefully he has learned from the past. It will be interesting to see what offense they run with him totally in charge.

Hope it works out for Darrell. He has paid his dues since his self-imposed exile from the Mean Green Nation. I do wonder if the stress of being a head coach is what contributed to his heart problems here? Those pressures are not likely to be less in Memphis after a 9-3 Season. He needs to be careful, but I wish him the best.

If he can make that offense go, like it has under Fuente, then he can be very successful. But that requires a good passing game, something he isn't known to like. Maybe it will be different for him as he sits at a place where recruiting is much easier and support, both financially and in attendance, will dwarf anything he dealt with here.

But a big part of me wants to see a Sportscenter highlight of Memphis fans screaming, "Throw the ball!! Throw the ball" during a loss to some AAC team...#MGschadenfreude

MGB thoughts with the iconic black jerseys shot:

What Dickey and his players accomplished are like a fine wine. It keeps looking better and better with age.

Agree 100%, the fact Dickey and his staff were able to recruit double digit DaMN State Top 100s (with those resources, that stadium, and to that conference) looks crazier and crazier.  Dodge got one (his son), Mac got one (Tee Gorree).
