Should North Carolina reach the Playoff, Fedora would more than likely expect Littrell to stay on board through the end of the Heels’ run.

Does anyone know the line on this game and what are the chances that UNC could vault to a playoff spot if they beat Clemson?  Yikes!  Should we be pulling for Clemson?

Clemson is a 5 to 6-point favorite.

For all your oddsmaking needs, I advise vegasinsider.com.  It has six individual Vegas sportsbooks plus consensus along with nine offshore online sportsbooks.

Not that I would ever use such information for illegal wagering purposes.  No.  Really.  In the 22 years since I made my first legal sports bet, I have never cashed a winning ticket.  Not...one...time.  I NEVER bet on sports.  Like.  Ever.  I suck at it.

Lot of people are gonna have to lose, AND UNC win for them to get in. Clemson is favored and rightly so, but it's unlikely they'll make it even if they do win.

I believe it's like a Herman situation last year.the deal is done rv and president are trying to be respectful to UNC before their biggest football game in the history of the school. And prolly agree to announce anything until the game has started. If they make playoffs fedora will have enough time to get somebody else ready to call plays or himself.

Of course UNC is best known for their BB teams but they have had some pretty good football teams as well. They had a long run beginning about 1970 and ending in the mid-80's where they were ranked in the top 20 about every year, including some number 3 rankings if I recall correctly.

One would hope if we are waiting that something is in place behind the scene (hoping the Prez is involved).

Don't worry RV has got this covered.  I am sure RV played Littrell's agent from IMG like a rented fiddle.

I don't find it scary, I find it exciting. As long as you can secure a good architect, even if you have to wait for him to put the final touches on another house, you are in good shape. You may lose your place in line for site prep, have to wait longer to get materials, have to reschedule your subs, and run into other delays in the short run. In the long run, your good architect is going to see that your contractor builds a damn fine house.

That's what happened with Dodge. We had tov wait for his playoff run to finish. This guy better be worth the wait and contractually bound to us . . . this week

UNC would need to win, Stanford would probably need to lose, and the selectors would need to pick them over Ohio State.  UNC's weak schedule is really working against them.  So a UNC blowout is probably required.  If Alabama were to lose it would really help them out.

What happened to Willie from Georgia Southern? I don't see his name up for consideration for other jobs?

He had interest for the Iowa St job, but then nothing.

Last time I talked to a Georgia Southern writer he said Willie may wait till next year. KST could open next year and that would be perfect. What if Air Force or Navy opens up? He'd be a perfect candidate there.

Id watch Tulane as a possibility for this year.

I just hope we gave him the full court press.  If President Smartresk whispered sweet nothings in his ear and he just didn't bite, I could live with that.  If we didn't...

As much as I am on board for a Littrell hire I would be ecstatic to get Willie Fritz here.  Forget riding the hype train, I would be shoveling coal into the boiler as fast as possible.

Thoughts on Iowa?

I'm glad you asked

I think the scarier part of this is that we are all assuming it is a foregone conclusion that Littrell will be the coach in less than a week, when in all reality there's a very real possibility we get a Bruce Chambers type hire
