Our biggest problem is recruiting and we all know it.

Meacham has the tie ins with HS already. Before TCU he was at Oklahoma State and UH. He knows the DFW area. No need to wait to build those relations.

Say TCU to the kids at my fort worth school and their eyes light up. Say UNC half don't know and they other half say basketball school. Both can coach, but Meacham has

the recruiting edge. Littrell hasn't been in the area in years. DFW is hard to recruit and we need every advantage. Meacham knows what it takes.

BTW HAVE YOU SEEN TCU OFFENSE?

Enough already how many threads are you going to start on this?

What in god's name makes you think Littrell does not keep his Texas Ties active? It would not make sense if he did not. Holy cow Littrell is from OK.

kinda hard to do working in unc when you are trying to make new connections there. High school football coaches move around a lot . Believe me I know.

I would imagine a few more threads to answer your question  or until Meacham is hired.

While recruiting DFW is absolutely paramount, it seems that Meacham being at TCU for the last 2 years is being overblown into Littrell can't recruit Texas. The guy grew up in Muskogee, and was on a staff at Texas Tech with plenty of Texas connections which have multiplied through the years. Having been coaching at this level for such a long time (for a younger guy), it is totally about relationships. You can bet that Littrell has them.

Also, this concern about recruiting is more about who the head coach hires on his staff as they will conduct the majority of recruiting activities anyway.

I have very little doubt Littrell would get better classes. Experience in recruiting is almost a double-edged sword.

So you've been recruiting the area for a long time? Cool. That means you're older and usually more out of touch with high school kids. Littrell's experience deficit to Meacham does not make him the inferior recruiter at all. Meacham does not have the track record in recent years of being an ace recruiter. But, depending on who you ask, the recruiting will be up to who pulls in better recruiting position coaches.
