The Houston head coach is probably waiting to see what Big 5 jobs open up next week. If Jimbo Fisher jumps to LSU, would he be considered for the Florida St. job? If I am one of the top 4 guys considered for the UNT job I might want to drag my feet a while to see if the Houston job opens up. Think Morris at SMU wishes he had waited to see if something else became available, such as South Carolina? Next week will be real interesting. I am beginning to enjoy this part of college football as much as signing day, which might say as much as our lack of recruiting ability as my increased senility.

This guy also works at TCU and has some familiarity with our athletic programs.

I hope it's true.  Meachum is laid back, but he's shown some sideline intensity... He's said to be a solid guy to work with by other coaches.

Why would we wait to see if our selection wants us or wants to see if he has another offer? You either want to be here,or you don't. We have to move in and get a new staff and start recruiting. There's no, "thanks for the offer, let me sleep on it for 3 weeks."
