It should be as no shock that he wont be back or that there may be turnover in the staff.

I also am of the belief through some rumblings that Canales isnt fond of RV. Could be bc of how RV treated the firing of Mac.

The only plus to not having a coach before 12/16 is that we will likely have very few JUCO transfers. You build a program through high school recruits especially with the talent we have in our own back yard. The only JUCO I want to see is a top flight QB.

I hope Patrick & Perry at least get interviews with the new guy.

Perry's running backs have been good and his special teams pretty good. Outside of recruiting, what would warrant KP keeping his job? The entire defense including the D-line has been bad.

That's a big part of it though.

Just an interview would be fine.  No need to extend the D-coordinator job to him or anything.  And if the new guy decides to go a different direction, that's fine.

What I'm saying is I don't care how good of a recruiter you are, unless you are the recruiting coordinator, you need to be a successful on-field coach as well. KP hasn't shown he can be that. The D-line is no better than when Nelson left and probably worse.
