Will the Houston curse continue????

So - there are still two minutes left and Houston has timeouts, but they just turned over on downs in the 4th quarter with just 2:01 left in the game trailing the Huskies by 3 points. UConn is going to punt so Houston has a chance as they will have probably 1:35 left to score a field goal but this is pretty scary for the Coogs.

Interception UCONN -- game over. Wow -- growing up in Houston you would understand... the town is basically just cursed when it comes to sports.

Houston just lost the g5 playoff spot... wow that really really sucks.

I should clarify -- they can beat Navy next week and still have a shot at the g5 spot. Still it hurts. Being undefeated would have been huge.

All season I've had to listen to UH fans tell me they were Top 10 material. Thank god they'll shut up.

Awww, Somebody is still salty that their team is 1-10 and getting their asses kicked by every team in America.

Just so much lost this season.

3rd string QB (was WR earlier this year) started.
2nd string RB out before the game and 1st sting RB injured during the game. So 3rd string RB played much of the game.
3 OL out for the season so starting 3 freshman OL including 1 who was playing DL earlier this season
Leading tackler ejected early in the 1st quarter

Still they gave their all and came close.

Now on to Navy. Hopefully the starting QB will be back. Leading tackler will be back. It will be tough, but a win puts us in the conference championship game. Win that and it's access bowl.

Most of the top 10 complaints were in comparison to Baylor. Everyone said UH's schedule was too weak to deserve it, but Baylor hadn't even played a ranked team or team with a winning record, but somehow they were top 10 and UH wasn't even ranked. Same could be said for OSU. Just need consistent ranking criteria.

that is a lot to overcome..........we can't win with a starting qb and running back. I would trade places in a minute. the cougars have had a great year.

I actually like Houston. The team-not the city. I'd like to play them and would love to be in a conference with them.

Except for one particular fan. But he's like a little gnat. As soon as it gets cold he'll leave.

I'm thinking Harry is confusing this with the G5 New Year's Day Six bowl game spot, which is also decided by the CFP committee.
