I'd be willing to bet Littrell won't be honoring that offer.  He posted about having a great in home visit with A&m Commerce       yesterday.

I hope he honors the offer. It's the right thing to do and goes a long way in building rapport with high school coaches. We need all the good will we can get.

Maybe so, but using a scholarship on a kid who isn't a D1 football player doesn't win games ask Mac.

since we "offered" can we have him go the grayshirt route??  i understand him not being D1 football player material as of now.  But you cant deny his nose for the ball.  maybe with some time to grow and mature more he could turn into something.  Best of both worlds he doesnt cost you a ship this year.  always potential he drops completely out or decides he would rather go DII route.

Honoring a commitment is one thing, but coaches really don't usually get in hot water for not honoring a scholarship offer.

It's not like they'll outwardly say "your scholarship offer no longer stands." They just won't recruit the kid. There's nothing immoral about recruiting the players you choose to offer.

Point taken. I would then hope that if we are not interested that Littrell has made it clear to him that he needs to look elsewhere.
