Coach Filani started following Nick Smith, RB, Arlington Martin

He is also following Tyler Wilson

I bet he swung by Arlington Martin today. Definitely excited about how many 3 star running backs the staff has been going after. Going to to get some playmakers on offense it looks like.

Tyler Natee, RB/FB, Trinity (Euless)

Graham Harrell and Tommy Perry started following him and he has followed back. He is currently an Indiana commit, but has a North Texas offer according to rivals.

2017 Evangel WR no longer committed to Louisiana Tech

I want to thank the la tech family for everything they've done and as of now I have re-opened my recruitment. In light of recent political events (budget cuts).

Just to clear up any confusion, there is nothing wrong with creating threads for players we are not publicly recruiting or have not offered.

The purpose of this thread is to get people to actually reach out to the coaching staff if there is a player they believe we should be recruiting. This forum is not affiliated with the school, so if you want us to recruit a player, creating a thread on here makes no actual strides towards that actually happening.

So feel free to create threads for players we aren't recruiting so we can discuss them. Just know that this is not a direct, or even indirect, method of getting players recruited by our coaching staff. Email, tweet the highlights at them (as long as you are not a donor), etc so the coaching staff can be properly notified of a prospective recruit.

I knew, as a donor, that contact with a recruit is not allowed, but I didn't realize that stretched to the coaching staff as well.  Is that correct, or am I reading this wrong?

I'm not sure, but I would say to certainly err on the side of caution, particularly with including the recruits' Twitter handle. If someone finds that somewhere it says it's okay for a donor to mention a recruit by name to a coach on Twitter, then by all means do so. I just think it's dangerously close to tweeting at a recruit, as a donor.

If you are a donor and want to be careful, email is certainly a good way to go.

I believe Twitter is ok, but nearly all other contact is prohibited unless you have a pre existing relationship.

This is my great nephew:

Starting to get a new offer weekly. (Class of 2018) I've been talking up UNT to him for 2 years now. Was listed as one of the top Soph's in the 2015 Texas Football Magazine while at Skyline; transferred to Bishop Dunne prior to the season. Dunne will have as many D1 recruits as anyone in 17 & 18. No UNT offer yet

This kid is the real deal.  He has to be bigger than 160 I watched him play last two years vs us and he ran for days has excellent vision and did so while teams knew they only ran the ball one way behind his SMU Lineman.  He is a special RB in space.

I love how this kid runs, he hits the hole and never looks back. I see a Darren Sproles in this kid. Hes got speed and Zero fear when he runs.

He can be good behind the line or in the slot being put in motion. I know his size probably doesnt help him but i dont see how he doesnt have at least two offers.

He is Willie Ivery size minus 3 inches and 10 lbs, and we all know how small Ivery looks on the field.  He's pretty small and Small Backs in big time football 9 times out of 10 don't work out so it is a big risk from big programs.

2017, Jackson Anuszkiewicz, QB, Midland High School.  Listed at 6' 0" and 180 lbs.

I have not seen him play live, but he is having a great year and has led Midland to a 6-1 record having their only loss to Desoto by 5 or 6 points.

Last night he was 16-23 for 375 yards, 6 TD's, 1 int. and 1 TD rushing against Odessa Permian.

http://www.hudl.com/video/3/3331418/57e80b0df61708a4e86ac95b

His top receiver is Lane Mannix who had 6 receptions for 177 yards and 3 TD's (44 yards, 57 yards, and 49 yards)
