he was defensive coordinator for Ohio St teams that went 24-2 while he was there. And he led his FCS team to a win against SMU something we couldn't do with a D1 roster. Not my first choice but we could do way worse

Well he did coach UNC one year, with a record of 7-6. It seems like he took over from Butch Davis being fired during the summer of 2011 and coached them through the regular season and a bowl game, then accepted the position at JMU. The guy also has plenty of NFL experience. Personally, I'd be thrilled if we got him.

If you can think of a better candidate we can get with head coaching experience at the FBS level, I'm all in. I'm just not interested in another retread with an overall losing record as head coach, no matter how well versed they are in coach speak.
