Breaking: North Texas Set to Host 17 This Weekend for OV.. Including a P4 Quarterback ( $)
I really think it depends on if QB can get a significant raise here staying with a Mean Green roster that looks like it could have a “Boise State” like season. Chances are slim you going to keep from going to the biggest brands in P4 that is virtually promising a starting role without a 5-star QB already on the roster. But I believe you can keep them from going to mid-tier and bottom-tier P4 programs if we retain the coaches he likes, along with a raise, and roster. SMU spends big money but even if they spent 35% less than they currently do their starting QB isn’t transferring to a place like Vandy, Michigan State, Kentucky or Purdue just to lead rosters that have significant disadvantages for most of their conference games. -

Defensive assistants
Agree. It's part of that COMMITMENT attribute that I mentioned earlier. I realize it has some impact on the future job, but those of us that have worked as a dedicated employee fully understand what it means to complete the task you are currently working before moving on. The exception being if the company has been screwing you over during your employment but that doesn't appear to be the case here. -

Like I've said before, Denton just happens to be the city that UNT is located in and they don't give a s#!t about the school. In addition, I've suggested that we should be trying to pull in the whole Frisco region, making them feel like UNT is their team of choice since it is the closest one to them. That area (and of course, the area N of Denton) is the primary future growth of the Metroplex, with it only being a matter of time before it expands all the way to Oklahoma. I've also said that I don't really like the concepts of UNT-Dallas, UNT-Frisco, etc. (I don't know why), but maybe it's time we give UNT-Frisco a chance. I know it's a ridiculous thought, but it wouldn't bother me at all if we packed up the whole damn place and moved it to Frisco, giving Denton the complete FU. Yeah, I'd hate the loss of "home" that we all spent there, but give Frisco the chance to embrace UNT along with partnering up with (ugghh) the Cowboys and we'd be done with the stagnant apathy of Denton. -

Heisman finalists and recruiting rankings
Most years Jeanty would be a great winner. No one else would be legit in a year with a true 2 way player like Hunter though. I don't care who he plays for. Hell I thought Hunter should have had way more consideration last year, but given he missed like 3-4 games with injury (not to mention Colorado wasn't any good) it's not surprising he didn't. -
