I could see this being like our game at Georgia in 2013, keeping it very close for a half. But then we turn it over on a potential game-tying drive leading to points and then an onslaught ensues. 100,000 people rooting against us won't help our odds either.

I can see them hanging 50 on us in the first half. I am soooooooooooooooo damn tired of supporting a school that whores out its teams for cash.

I'm sorry, but those don't look like the results of a team that can remain remotely competitive with Tennessee.

Flying in from Hong Kong for this one.  Heading home for the week so going straight to Nash/Knoxville - fall, SEC, Mean Green dots in a sea of orange and hearing Rocky Top live - long live Mean Green football!  Three dots of Green somewhere in there.

To those of you who will be attending the Tennessee game, I would like to extend a hearty welcome to Big Orange Country. Given the way that your season has unfolded to date and the kind of game that we both anticipate, you have my utmost respect. Only true fans stick by their team through thick and thin, let alone plank down that kind of money for a road game of this magnitude. I have no doubt whatsoever that you will enjoy the game-day atmosphere of Neyland Stadium. For those of you who would appreciate recommendations on local eateries, watering holes and tailgating locales, I have provided links to a few threads on Vol Nation relevant to those topics. Much of this information is dated but should still be useful to visitors. Have a safe and enjoyable trip to Big Orange Country.

Plot twist: Tennessee is still reeling from that loss to North Texas in 1975 (their only meeting) and can't focus enough: NT wins in two weeks

I remember that game. It wasn't the final nail in Bill Battle's coffin, but it certainly signified that his coaching tenure was in serious trouble.

Rex just one question - best sports bar to hit after the game for sports deep into the night.  With an early game it will be delicious to just pony up to an awesome sports bar near the stadium and watch college football until pure exhaustion.

Their location (http://www.coolbeansbar.com/location/) is one block off of Cumberland Avenue, the main arterial highway that provides access to the campus area, so it should be less crowded than any establishment located directly on Cumberland. Incidentally, it looks like there will be a fair amount of road construction in and around Cumberland (http://www.cumberlandconnect.com/).
