We have been really fortunate to have such great play-by-play voices over the years. Mercer-Dunham-Barnett. If I had to listen to someone like the Miami guy, I just wouldn't listen.

The PxP guy did a good job of following the action -- could've used more descriptors of where the ball is, but I understand the frenzy of just trying to keep track of who has the ball.

The color guy WAYYYY overstepped his boundaries. If I were the PxP, I would've been pissed at him for yelling like a maniac during the play.

Also, the mixing was pretty poor. The PxP guy sounded like he was trying not to scream, like he knew couldn't reach past a certain level because it would start peaking.

Barnett lambasted the officials during the UTKFC game. It was awesome. Especially over McClain's targeting call. He brought it up with Chico and was like "you don't have to say it i will those calls were garbage". I thoroughly enjoyed Barnett.

The way that Miami play went down was a travesty to college football because the replay official had a chance to correct an incorrectly called play (not once but TWICE) but didn't.

Listening to the first half on the way to the smu game, I didn't sense a whole lot of chemistry between the two guys, but that seems to have definitely changed for the better. Not saying that I don't miss George at all, but the transition now seems to be relatively seamless. Great radio voice and we're lucky to have him.
