I wanna know if Mean Green Man was approached by the athletic dept to go out on the field with the team or if he asked.

this would mean the athletic department cared about something more than the elect 17 and their money so probably not.

I wanna know if Mean Green Man was approached by the athletic dept to go out on the field with the team or if he asked.

Asked.  Coach Canales came up with the idea.  His son reached out via DM on Twitter.  Talked to Chico on the phone who said "I'd like to have you come out with us, get the  crowd pumped up and set the tone"

I saw him jump the wall after the game

True story.  Also jumped last year vs, SMU but that was Chico again saying "get down here" so we could get a picture together.  That was not planned, but had to go celebrate with  Chico, the players, and the students.  Still limping, darn near broke foot, but totally worth it.

Truth be told,  Chico and his son reached out to me to ask about doing it vs. WKU as his first game as coach.  It was shot down by the AD but approved for Halloween.  Chico sees MGM as a spirited fan who supports the team through good times and bad.  The AD sees MGM as a sideshow that can be allowed to participate on a day specifically for weird guys in costumes.

The AD didn't bother to tell their security.  MGM was asked for his on-field clearance by security after running out with the team and going to the student side to pump up the crowd.  It was a bit disheartening after the entrance to be escorted off field by security.  At least they didn't have dogs on MGM like last Halloween.

That wall is no joke. Almost didn't jump after the Indiana win. Almost.

MGM was asked for his on-field clearance by security after running out with the team and going to the student side to pump up the crowd.  It was a bit disheartening after the entrance to be escorted off field by security.  At least they didn't have dogs on MGM like Halloween last time.

MGM gonna MGM

I figured this was the case... and why you're so gung-ho about hiring Chico as the HC.

Very reminiscent of a certain AD and his friends.

haha, yea, figured since he stated he wouldn't campaign for it, least I could do for him was campaign on his behalf.

In fairness, I did post earlier today a case for Major Applewhite. I'm coming to terms with losing a coach that has become a friend through the years. I've moved on from the denial stage of grief to the acceptance stage.

So unlike a certain AD, I am able to move on from denial :)

I'm proud of you.   The first step to recovery is to admit the problem and grief is perfectly normal.  But as an ambassador, you must press on!
