10 seconds left with second down on the 10. Clearly time enough for another shot at the end zone.

And Chico tries a freakjng field goal. Even after Carlos Harris pointed out there was time for another play.

What an idiot.

That is a bit overly harsh. Would you have trusted Smith with the football there after his two goalline fumbles, and definietly no time to get sacked? I wouldn't

you aren't running in that situation, you are throwing to the endzone.

One of the dumbest coaching decisions I've seen in quite some time, especially after Harris was pointing out the error in a UTSA timeout.

Oh, and they called timeout because they were dumbstruck by the stupidity.

I know you are not running. But he took some really stuuuupid sacks last game.

If we can't trust him to make a quick pass or throw it out of the end zone right away, the game's already lost anyway. Better to bet on your own players there than to play it safe. We're 0-7. We can go for broke.

My slurpee was too runny today

I'm just glad your relative will be moving to greener pastures. That may have cost us the only chance at a win this season.

Stupid

My God I wish you were our freaking coach since it is so easy from your vantage point. Some day I will swing by your place of employment and criticize how you drop the taters in the Fry-o-lator.

By by the way, we won!

Chico got a win...that will look good for him when he gets his next job somewhere else. I'm glad for him.

It wasn't a hard call, but you know that. You just are letting your irrational feelings about me affect your judgement.

I'm happy for the guy too. He has shown loyalty to UNT and I thank him for that. I truly think he was handcuffed by Dan Mccarney in his play calling and recruiting. He will never admit to that but he doesn't have to.

With that said, I wish him the best of luck after this year is in the books.

So we are so giddy beating a team with their 4th String QB who was a walk-on and whose starting RB went out early.

Nice win but should never have been this close, but of course show's how bad the Corn Farmer's recruiting was the last 5 years

Particularly since we know they get the ball to start the second half. We needed to be aggressive.

And there 5th team QB had to come in the final drive after the 4th team QB got injured.

Dont get me wrong, I'm glad we won, but that might be the only win this year.

Hey 90, these are my exact sentiments.  Since someone else posted this maybe, just maybe, you can understand this

Like 2010 when Todd Dodge had to use his 4th string walk-on converted wide receiver/quarterback? Or does that disadvantage only handicap our opponents?
