How did these guys drop 50 on USM? They look turrible against Georgia Southern. Tyler Jones, who passed for 333 against USM, is 8 for 22 for 76 yds.   How did this happen?

Because SWTSt never had success in the FBS back in the 70's under a legendary coach.  So people can't remember them from that time.   Most people probably look at TXSt the same way they look at UTSA: Fresh on the scene.

I watched coach fran take over the New Mexico football program when i lived in albuquerque and bring it to life.  I thought he was a football god!  I think the game has past the older coaches by, until someone can stop the spread offenses it going to be high scoring shootouts.

I have often wondered the SWSU-Texas State / NTSU-UNT dichotomy.

 

I haven't heard one mis-speak since they changed their name.
