I didn't know it was possible to have the worst Defense and the worst Offense in FBS at the same time. 

It's a good thing that doesn't apply to us.

The emotional doom and gloom on this board is understandable.  IMO made-up stats, false claims and hyperbole are not.

The entire college football watching state of Texas is watching or will see the score from Fox Southwest scroll across the screen...but lord I hope our university and its athletic department don't receive any embarrassment from it.

Bright spot is the defense is playing ever so slightly better.

Offense is just plain terrible. I'll be so glad when Canales is no longer anywhere near a UNT headset.

32 walk-ons on this roster, right?  It's gonna take a while for anybody to fix this.  I keep seeing more and more evidence that not only could Mac not recruit but also that he seemed to refuse to recruit.  Keep seeing high school coaches talk about UNT coaches never coming around.  At all.

So at present, whatever the schemes may be, I think we simply don't have the physical tools to pull anything off against programs who have long tenures of active recruiting.

I hope the next coach doesn't go into fire extinguisher mode and try to get a short-term fix with a heavy reliance on JUCOs.  I'm willing to wait this thing out for us to develop players the right way, out of high school.

Meanwhile:  Looks like we got a field goal.  Yay!  No shut-out!

      Why Support this Program?….Seriously!?

      I condone and understand the mistaken omission. It was the most misleading victory in Mean Green history. I was there for that game in club seat because the weather was horrible. A pass happy UTSA came to Denton with a cold windy miserable wet day that made it impossible to throw the ball. Maybe they win the game if the weather was not so bad. But the fact they let that game be an excuse to keep Littrell another season was infuriating! 🤬. A decision like that had nothing to do with winning football because they followed that up with another double digit loss in the closet thing to a home Bowl Game in Frisco losing by double digits to a juggernaut 6-6 Miami OH. I said this at the time as well. And it was a confirmed bad decision when Seth couldn’t find a better QB than Austin Aune or get his completion percentage above 60% for more than 2 games in a row. This department is comfortable with mediocrity and programs new to the FBS level like UTSA our asses routinely. Long as we can beat teams having historically bad seasons for their program and FCS teams we are good. I am sure many of the few loyal fans were annoyed that there were enough fans that partied outside the stadium for homecoming to make the game a sellout. But after 20 years of the bullshit, I can’t be disappointed in them anymore.

      Is this what an “offensive genius” looks like?

      It feels like this season is over. If we somehow manage to get that elusive 6th win, can we file a lawsuit to help a 3-win MAC team get into a bowl game so that it will at least be competitive? Also, can we go back to the era when we didn't have any rivals? Any annual "rivalries" just end up fizzling because we're so terrible in those games that the series quickly become non-competitive and unexciting. We never really take any successful steps to improve the program while others refuse to remain complacent.

      Records of teams that we have beat. The only team with a winning record is SFA and they just lost to Texas A&M Commerce. We have a terrible defense and and offense that is explosive against bad teams. If the defense gets a stop, then the offense crumbles the next drive. South Alabama (4-5) SFA (6-4) Wyoming (2-8) Tulsa (3-7) Florida Atlantic (2-7) This team sucks, the program is heading in the wrong direction. I have wasted 17 years following this program. Not sure how you old timers have done this for so long.

      Looked him up. He’s a 5’7” 170lb QB/Wr. You’re trolling us or you’re not watching the same games I am… unless he’s the key to unlocking 800 yards and 55ppg he’s not the answer. The answer is a defense with a pulse. I am not saying we don’t need or want him…but he’s not changing this team from losers to winners by himself. That lousy team that just whipped us last night has always had a better defense on the field than we have. With the exception of 2013.
