I was listening to DFW ESPN on 103.3 yesterday and they had Mike on. According to him he wants back into coaching and this time in college. He stated that a few schools have already reached out to him. I don't know if we could afford him, but I'm hesitant about him if we are going after him. His philosophy would practically have Dan Mccarney as our OC. I figured I'd share.

we need young.  i do like him, but he would bolt pretty quick if he had a successful season(s). a young guy might stick around a little longer.

He tried the discipline, hard line with the 49ers. It didn't work. Harbaugh had to come in and salvage. We cannot afford a Hargaugh to come save us. I think there is some name recognition but I would say pass as well.

Singletary would not be a good hire.  He is very old school, much like McCarney.  On top of that, not many kids coming out of high school right now have a clue who he is.  Great player, great speaker, great assistant coach but I don't think being a head coach is his forte.
