UNT at Marshall Predictions

Prediction thread for Marshall and UNT this Saturday.

 

I believe on a full week's practice for DaMarcus Smith and some more emphasis on the defense, UNT avoids getting doubled up on the road by C-USA powerhouse Marshall.

Marshall isnt the same high powered offense the were. We are not the same defense that was decent at stopping the run and just gave up big plays. Marshall will run the ball down our throats until the tonsils fall out.

We're McCarney-less on the road for the first time in a while.  Normally, I would think we'd fold... but I'm not so sure this time.   That being said, Marshall is an elite team with aspirations of winning the C-USA crown.  They're not going to let UNT get in the way.  I think we see a little more Moore in this one as we'll move the ball a little better than last week (prior to WKU's starters coming out), but some of our drives will stall out.   Spirited effort by the Mean Green though.  Still, expect to see some of Marshall's backups in the 4th quarter and a TD or two for the Mean Green while those backups are in.

I think D. Smith shakes off the nerves he had at WKU and goes gamer on the WV Hill Billies defense.. Sadly our defense can't keep up...

Again I don't expect to win I just want to see improvement.  The truth is that Marshall's defense is tougher than WKU's so we may not score 28 and our new QB may look like a new QB out there.

As long as there are a lot of people out there learning and getting better I am ok with that.
