Normally in an FBS coaching search you'd hear about a few hometown favorites who went to the school and are in the coaching fraternity.

Are there any current/recent FBS coaches and assistants out there who went to North Texas? The only one I came up with in a search is Bruce Chambers, a running backs and tight end coach at UT from 1998 to 2014 who played for UNT as a wide receiver from 1979 to 1982.

The lack of post here demonstrates how big a failure this program is.  We don't anyone in the coaching ranks with a link to UNT football success young/(or alive) to come back to UNT and lead it as Mean Green as head coach.  Michigan got Harbaugh not only because they have deep pocket it was because his is a Michigan man.  Maybe in 15 years Lance Dunbar can come back and coach rescue the program.
